Looking for great ground turkey recipes? I have great turkey meatloaf recipes. The turkey meatloaf recipe on this page is one of our best turkey recipes because both adults and kids gobble it! Sorry for the pun. But once you taste this turkey meatloaf recipe you'll forget about using ground beef. Because it uses ground turkey instead of ground beef this meatloaf has far fewer calories... about half the calories of a beef meatloaf. But this turkey meatloaf is twice as good!

This meatloaf recipe is nothing fancy but it's one of my favorite ground turkey recipes. It's just delicious. I give you the ingredients for three different sizes.
I usually make the 3 lb. size because people tend to eat a lot.

Meatloaf Size

1 lb.

2 lb.

3 lb.

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Ground Turkey
(I prefer Shadybrook Farms)

1 lb.

2 lbs.

3 lbs.

Eggs (Large)

Hot sauce. I use a mild hot sauce. My favorite is a brand called Sharkey's (scroll down for picture) but it can be a little hard to find. If you are using regular hot sauce you might want to cut this back by at least half. This is especially true if you are serving the meat loaf to children. You can always add more to taste later.

3 tbsp.

Worcestershire Sauce
(I use Lea and Perrins)

1 tbsp.

2 tbsp.

3 tbsp.

Adobe Seasoning (Scroll down for picture)

1 tsp.

2 tsp.

3 tsp.

Vidalia Onion - Diced

4 ozs.

8 ozs.

12 ozs.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)

1 tbsp.

2 tbsp.

3 tbsp.

Bread - either white or whole wheat

2 slices

4 slices

6 slices

Ketchup

Breadcrumbs

Parsley Flakes

Preheat your oven to 350°
Put the ground turkey and all other ingredients except the bread slices into a large bowl.
Wet the slices of bread with water and then gently squeeze out the excess. Then pinch small pieces placing them in the bowl. It is not necessary to remove the crust. This is the secret to an unbelievably moist meatloaf!
Mix thoroughly.
Place mixture in appropriate size baking dish.

Now you're going to make the meatloaf visually appealing and add to the flavor too!
Spread a layer of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top.
Sprinkle parsley flakes over the top.
Place in preheated oven.
It's difficult to say precisely how long to bake your meatloaf since it depends on the dish you're using, your oven's characteristics, etc. I bake the 3 lb. meatloaf, covered, for 1½ hours and then check to see if it's done. You want it to be done but don't overcook it.
You want it to be moist.
Remove from oven and let stand for about twenty minutes.

One variation you can try is to mix in some chopped spinach or other "healthy vegetable". Your kids never see it coming and they gobble it right along with the meatloaf. Sneaky, huh?
